90% Rule

Nearly all classes at SHCC feature a variation of the "90% Rule".

If a student submits an assignment which earns less than 90%, he is allowed to revise the assignment.

The top grade he can earn on the revision (usually called a "redo") is 90%.

That is a B+ on Mr. Brunner's grading scale.

He believes that is fair to the student who might have had to spend much time reworking the assignment.

Each instructor has set a grading scale and a variation of the "90% Rule".

Consult each instructor for details.
